Stephanie and Ted’s wedding was filled with emotion and love. As part of the processional, the bride’s uncle walked down the aisle with a remembrance candle in honor of Stephanie’s father who had passed away. Stephanie was then walked down the aisle with a brother escorting her on either side. Everyone turned for a look at the bride who was dressed in a Kara’s Bridal gown. The strapless gown showcased lace and rouching. Her veil had decorative edging over the bride’s up-do. Around her neck was an exquisite chunky pearl and diamond necklace. On her feet she wore ornamented silver and turquoise beaded shoes, which contrasted with her bridesmaid’s high-top Converse sneakers. The bridesmaids also wore violet gowns with ruffled straps that were pleated down the middle. They each carried smaller versions of the bride’s cascading bouquet with oriental purple lilies, white roses and hydrangeas. Awaiting his bride was Ted in a grey tuxedo with grey vest, white shirt and striped silver/black and white tie. The groomsmen were in grey tuxedos with purple vests, ties and white shirts.

Some highlights from the speeches included the best man talking about what a fighter Ted is and how he has so much class. The bride was noted for her huge heart before the groom stood up to thank everyone.

The couple’s first dance was to I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Sleeping at Last. Instead of a father & daughter dance, Stephanie danced with her uncle, who draped one of her dad’s shirts over his arm during the dance. The song they chose was Stand By Me. This was followed by the groom and mother of the groom dance.

For dessert, a chocolate and red velvet wedding cake was served with three tiers decorated in delicate black scrolling detail and black ribbon outlining each tier. The cake was finished with fresh white roses and purple oriental lilies.
For guests a photo booth was available with props. The couple also played a newlywed game. Flip-flops were provided for dancing and those who were hesitant, and of age, were encouraged to try the specialty drink, Trust Me, you can DANCE Vodka. Favors were miniature potted plants.
