Not many people are fortunate enough to have their father marry them. When Hunter and Myriam married March 13, 2015, Hunter’s father not only served as officiant, but also read a poem written by the groom when he was in first grade.

For her wedding gown, Myriam chose a Pronovias gown. The lace dress was fitted through the hips finishing in a mermaid flair. With her hair down and curled and a veil attached in back, Myriam was a picturesque bride. Hunter wore his Navy uniform for the ceremony while his groomsmen were dressed in black tuxedos with black bowties. The bridesmaids wore pink champagne-colored gowns of satin with V-necks, empire waists and pleated skirts. Both the bride and her bridesmaids carried bouquets of white and dusty pink roses with eucalyptus leaves, jasmine, ivy and other greenery.

As guests arrived, they were asked to write their names or words of wisdom on Jenga blocks.

During speeches and dinner, the newlyweds sat at a private couple’s table. Speeches began with the mother of the bride giving a special blessing to her daughter and new son-in-law. The bride and groom took to the dance floor to dance to a special French song. During speeches the best man talked about how he went through the Naval Academy and Marine Corps with Hunter and how Hunter was the one who always reminded him to have fun. The maid of honor gave a heartfelt thanks to the bride and groom’s families.

After dinner and speeches, a three-tiered cake with brushed buttercream frosting and pink fondant flowers was served to guests. The night ended with well wishes for the bride and groom. Congratulations Myriam and Hunter. May your lives be filled with the endless riches love has to offer. We wish you the best.
