When Ciara and Jon met at a fraternity party they probably had no idea that eight years later they would be married. Jon proposed to his bride in Sedona, Arizona. On March 21, 2015 the couple welcomed friends and family to Villa Siena for their celebration of love. The guest welcome table showcased pictures of the couple with a guest book and pen.
Ciara chose a gown with rouching across the bust and a wide decorative belt adorned with flowers sequins, which matched the bride’s shoes of pale pink silk with silk flowers. Her wedding dress finished with a ruffled bottom. A sequined veil was worn over the bride’s up-do. After the ceremony Ciara exchanged the veil for a garland of flowers. Pale pink Irises, roses and snapdragons composed the bridal bouquet. The bridesmaids wore dresses from David’s bridal in mint green, pale pink and lavender. The groom and his groomsmen wore black tuxedos with white shirts and black bowties.
Strangers in the Night by Frank Sinatra was chosen for the couple’s first dance. Father and Daughter followed for the father & daughter song and Never Alone by Lady Antebellum for the mother & son dance with a special dedication going out to Jon’s grandmother. For toasts the bride and groom had champagne flutes decorated in a tuxedo and wedding dress. During speeches, after the best man shared some memories of his childhood with his brother, Jon, the Maids of Honor sang a duet about the bride and groom to Fight For Your Right by the Beastie Boys.
The wedding cake showcased pink and white roses, with green leaves and a ceramic cake topper of a groom carrying his bride in his arms. Favors were chocolates in little white boxes. A personal hashtag was set up for sharing photographs and memories. The night ended with a signature sparkler farewell. Congratulations Ciara and Jon.
