A Sparkling, Sophisticated Celebration for Windy and Travis
A sophisticated day of white and gold, we were so glad Windy and Travis joined us for their celebration. Windy was an absolute vision in her semi-sweetheart, off-the-shoulder ball gown — and we always love a long, dramatic veil! Travis looked dashing in a classic black suit, and the bridesmaids were shimmering in champagne dresses, with different silhouettes for a modern feel.
There were so many special, personal touches to this day, starting with the outdoor ceremony where the couple wrote their own vows and it was officiated by a dear friend. In a beautiful gesture, Windy carried her late father’s ashes in her pocket — and Travis later danced with his Aunt Lynette, in honor of his late mother.
We love when family and friends are at the center of a couple’s celebration, as it shows how much support they have — and that was definitely the case with Windy and Travis. Travis’ uncle gave a blessing and the maid of honor gave such a lovely speech as all of the guests looked on, and then the party really began. Between the couple taking the time to do photographs with each table to exuberant moments like the dollar dance, there was so much fun had by all. (And we have to mention that cake — two tiers with a gorgeous crumb coat and cupcakes, yum!)
What a way for the McCowans to start their life together — and the neon sign definitely made it official. They obviously were meant for each other and we hope they take these amazing memories into the rest of their lives together!
