Wendy & Joel ~ May 7, 2016

View More: http://leslieannphotography.pass.us/joelwendyWendy and Joel met at a bar in Texas in 2009, were engaged at the Eiffel Tower on a New Year’s Eve in Paris, and were married in Arizona on Saturday, May 7, 2016.

Wendy modeled a lace-textured wedding gown with a trumpet hem and semi-sweetheart neckline – a lengthy veil at times pinned in her spiraling brown hair. She stood atop bedazzled, peep-toe heels, the bottoms of which read “Mrs. DeConcini” on the left, and “Est. 5.7.2016” on the right. Her five bridesmaids all donned solid black, floor-length gowns with thin straps and V-necks. Each member of the bridal party held a hand-tied bouquet of white roses and hydrangeas.

Joel sported a three-piece suit with black trousers and jacket, and a dove gray vest – plus a black bowtie and white rose on his lapel. His five groomsmen wore two-piece black suits with black bowties and white roses on their lapels.

The outdoor alter was lead to by a white carpet strewn in pink and white flower petals. The bride was walked down the aisle by her son, after which Wendy and Joel performed the wine ceremony.

A dinner followed of Atlantic salmon, sliced beef tenderloin with potatoes au gratin, and fresh green beans. The four-tiered wedding cake consisted of white almond, devil’s food with raspberry compote, and carrot cake flavors. The white icing had unique details on the bottom two layers; a large “D” adorned the tier above, and the top layer held a bedazzled ribbon and a cluster of white roses and hydrangeas. Dessert also consisted of offerings from a gelato cart.

During toasts, Jeff gave a funny speech accompanied by photos of a young Joel. Tim, the Best Man, expressed how Wendy allowed Joel to be “Joel.” The Maid of Honor, Trista, expressed how Joel is “her person,” and Wendy’s brother Corey lamented how Joel has brought happiness to Wendy that he has never seen before.

Wendy and Joel’s first dance was to Chantal Kreviazuk’s “Feels Like Home.” The Father/Daughter Dance was to “When You Need Me” by Brice Springsteen, and the Mother/Son Dance was to “What a Wonderful World.” Wendy and her son also did a dance to Cali Swag District’s “Teach Me How To Dougie.”

Wendy and Joel left under the signature sparkler farewell, and we wish them all the best in their new life together.
