Veronica and Nathan met through their theater program in college at NAU. They were eventually married on Friday, June 17, 2016.

Veronica donned a Luv Bridal wedding gown with a trumpet-style hem, a semi-sweetheart neckline, and a train. She clutched a bouquet of white and purple roses, white hydrangeas, and roses made of sheet music. Her six bridesmaids modeled sky-blue, tea-length gowns with varying necklines, including halter, illusion, and V-neck.

Nathan wore a two-piece grey suit with a sky blue necktie, white dress shirt, and a cluster of flora on his lapel. His groomsmen matched his attire entirely, except for the groomslady who wore a short, sleeveless grey dress with black, peep-toe heels.

Veronica and Nathan’s indoor ceremony included the unity candle. One of the bridesmaids read a poem titled “I Love You.” It was said that marriage is the role of a lifetime, and there were many other baking and theater production references in addition to that one. One of the groomsmen read from Shakespeare, and the bride and groom also said their vows.

Dinner started with Caesar salad, and included a buffet style serving of beef tenderloin, chicken marsala, green beans, and mashed potatoes. The three-tiered wedding cake was lavender in color, and revealed vanilla, almond, and chocolate flavors. It also included white detail piping, a “V&N” on the middle tier, and white and purple rose accents. The groom’s cake resembled a deep-dish pizza, and his favorite toppings happen to be pepperoni, olive, and mushroom (all frosting of course).

During toasts, the Father of the Bride said how proud he is of his daughter, and how happy he is for them. He really loves Nathan, and spending time with him, plus he has really great qualities. He knows Nathan will be an amazing husband. Katherine, the Maid of Honor, talked about how she met Veronica through the theater program at NAU. The Best Man expressed how Nathan was the officiant for his own wedding, and the reason he and his wife met.

Veronica and Nathan’s first dance was to “The Book of Love” by Peter Gabriel. The Mother/Son Dance was “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts, and the Father/Daughter Dance was to Frank Sinatra’s “The Way You Look Tonight.”

Guests were also treated to glass coasters with the wedding date and the bride and groom’s initials. Veronica and Nathan departed under the signature sparkler farewell, and we wish them all the best in their new life together.
