Tina & Tony ~ October 12, 2020

An Elegant, Emerald Occasion (that really rocked!)

One of our favorite things about hosting weddings here at Villa Siena is seeing how couples combine the elegance of a traditional wedding with their unique personalities. Take Tina and Tony, for example: this fun-loving couple wanted to have a classically beautiful wedding, but they also brought in unique elements to highlight their unique relationship.

For the ceremony, the couple stuck to old-school elegance. The Plaza Toscana was decorated with hydrangeas, white roses, and loads of greenery. The bridal party was looking their best: Tony and his groomsmen wore black tuxes with emerald green ties, bridesmaids wore long green dresses (with matching face masks), and Tina dropped jaws with her off-the-shoulder, curve-hugging gown. As Tina and her father walked down the aisle, there was hardly a dry eye in the Plaza — and rightly so!

The couple exchanged vows and rings in a traditional ceremony officiated by Gwen Waring. After the couple were officially husband and wife (hooray!), it was time to move indoors for a fun-filled reception. Inside, the reception hall was decorated with green lighting, florals, and bubbles — a perfect combination of elegance and fun.

The couple made their grand entrance to “TNT” (a subtle nod to Tony and Tina). Then, it was time for dancing to a stellar soundtrack: Tony and Tina’s first dance was to “Stand By Me,” while Tina and her father danced to “My Girl.” Guests enjoyed a delicious appetizer — baby greens wrapped in cucumber strips and stuffed with mandarin oranges, berries, feta, sugared walnuts, and raspberry vinaigrette — before diving into entrees of grilled tuscan chicken or herb crusted pork loin with sides of quinoa and butternut squash.

Throughout the night, the reception hall was filled with laughter, fun, and great music. Tina’s mother told the couple to “keep loving each other as much as [they] do now,” and we believe they will follow that advice for years to come.
