Tabitha & Shawn ~ March 15, 2012

March 15th, 2012 found the buds opening on the trees and flowers lifting up into the sunny Arizona air. As the air warmed for a bright spring day at Villa Siena, Tabitha and Shawn joined their love together through a wedding filled with family and friends. There was a warmth between the couple that was transparent in the décor they chose – tall standing candles in glass vases adorned the alter, while their color scheme of black, ivory, champagne and orange brought a flush of brightness to the festivities. Orange rose petals floated in the Villa’s fountain and were also found edging the white runner the bride walked down. The pairing of opposites repeated itself throughout the wedding – the orange flame from the bouquets and petals against the cool fountain water and the herringbone brick tiles and then the bride, picture-perfect with a strapless gown, fitted to just below the waist with a princess style crinoline skirt paired with sneakers beneath. The bride had promised her father since age five she would wear sneakers on her wedding day and she held true to her promise. Tabitha’s hair was worn in an up-do with pearl earrings, a pearl cuff bracelet and double-strand pearl bracelet as accents. To compliment the bride’s look, the bridesmaids wore pearl necklaces. The bridesmaids mirrored the groomsmen, wearing all black.  The women wore simple floor-length strapless dresses with the bouquets containing an assortment of red and orange flowers. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos with red calla lilies as boutonnières. The groom was handsome in his black tuxedo with champagne tie and champagne-colored paisley vest and a twinkle in his blue eyes.  While there was a lot of smiling and playfulness during the photo shoots, the bride was overwhelmed with emotion when exchanging her vows, tearing up slightly. The couple lit a unity candle, to symbolize the joining of their separate lives into one. As the couple took to the dance floor for their first dance, Let’s Stay Together by Al Green played and the couple boogied. Rock bands, allowing the fun of the couple’s personality to shine through, designated the tables. Favors consisted of candies with CDs to be mailed out to guests at a later date. The celebration and love apparent on this day were the truest reflection of a couple ready to begin the rest of their lives together. Congratulations Tabitha and Shawn. We know your life together will be a happy one.
