October 28, 2011 was a beautiful day for Susan and Jason to host their stunning Venetian Masquerade Wedding Event here at Villa Siena. The theme of the evening was set with a Venetian queen awaiting all guest arrivals. Susan looked stunning in an extraordinary champagne colored dress fit for an Italian queen. Guests were treated to a theatrical and unique Venetian masquerade extravaganza that was both romantic and mysterious since guest wore masquerade masks throughout the evening. During cocktail hour, a tiny music box pedestal with a spinning Venetian queen was set in the corner of the room. She stayed still as a statue as the music box spun her around for guests to admire. As the guests finished their cocktails and appetizers, a court jester along with a beautifully costumed man on stilts invited guests to follow them down to the grand ballroom to begin the evening’s festivities. As guests made their way to their seats, they were greeted with handmade masquerade masks that were different for every person. Susan and Jason had actually had them made in Italy just for this event! One very special moment during the evening was when Jason and his daughter Olivia, age eight, danced a special, well rehearsed daddy/daughter dance. Very touching…. The evening unfolded magically as guests looked forward to each exciting surprise. But a crowd favorite at Susan and Jason’s wedding were the place settings for the wedding crashers! That’s right Susan and Jason actually posted on Facebook that they wanted to have random people join them at their wedding, unannounced and unknown as a wedding crasher!! Too funny! Frankly, we weren’t surprised since Susan and Jason are both extremely fun loving and full of surprises! What a perfect match. Congratulations you two!
