Sara & Ernesto ~ February 10, 2019

Sara and Ernesto, who met in high school and began dating years later, were married on February 10, 2019.

Sara looked radiant in an A-line gown with a bejeweled bodice with spaghetti straps and a deep V neckline, and a long skirt with a train. Her accessories included a hip-length veil. Her bouquet included white flowers and several kinds of greenery. Her three bridesmaids wore matching full-length pink skirts with white tank blouses with scalloped necklines. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Ernesto, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps, got married in a dark blue three-piece suit with a blue vest, white shirt, dark purple tie, and a white pocket square with military medals pinned above it. His three groomsmen wore dark blue suits with white shirts and white pocket squares; two had military medals on, and one had a white flower boutonniere.

The couple were married in a bilingual ceremony performed by one of the bride’s close friends.

Next, guests sat down to a meal that included plated salads and a buffet of chicken, brisket, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and dinner rolls.

During the toasts, one of the maids of honor, her friend since high school, said Sara is like a sister to her, and that Ernesto encourages Sara to be her best self. The other maid of honor, Sara’s friend since first grade, spoke about how happy she is for the newlyweds. The best man projected a presentation onto the wall and shared photos and memories. Ernesto and Sara thanked everyone for their love, support, and presence at the wedding.

The newlyweds shared their first dance together to “A Sunday Kind of Love” by Etta James. Ernesto and his mother danced to “Te Amo Mama” by Marco Antonio Solis. Other wedding music included a mariachi band during the ceremony and cocktail hour.

The wedding cake was done in white frosting and bore a “Mr. & Mrs.” topper. Guests enjoyed an assortment of macarons and doughnuts.

Sara and Ernesto left their special under the signature sparkler send-off.

We wish them nothing but the best in their new life together!
