Ramona & Ryan ~ December 27, 2012

We are always honored to have military personnel married at Villa Siena. December 27, 2012, we were proud to host Ramona and Ryan’s wedding. Ryan is a member of the United States Air Force, so it was fitting that the color scheme was navy and white.

Ramona was a picturesque bride in a fitted gown that flared into an A-line dress at the hip. The dress was strapless satin over which Ramona wore a lace toplet with short-sleeves. The cathedral length gown had a lace edging reminiscent of snowflakes or ferns. The bride wore a pearl necklace, adding an elegant touch. The bouquet was white calla lilies. The bridesmaids and flower girls wore strapless blue floor length gowns.

Ryan wore his military uniform and looked very distinguished. His groomsmen, by his side, wore black tuxedos with blue vests and ties.

As Ramona walked down the red runner, edged with white flower petals, she approached an altar bursting with greenery, ivory flowers and a few orange roses for contrast. There the couple exchanged vows and Ryan slipped a wedding band of tiny hearts linked together onto Ramona’s finger.

During cocktail hour a mariachi band played and guests were invited to sample the bruschetta station.  Dinner speeches included the groom welcoming the couple’s friends and family. The Maid of Honor finished her speech with “here is to love, laughter and happily ever after.”

After a first dance with her new husband, Ramona and her father danced to What a Wonderful World.

Instead of traditional favors, the couple donated money to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund, reminding us all of how important it is to be selfless in life.

A four-tiered cake with ivory and navy curlicues was finished with fresh white roses and navy ribbon.

Congratulations Ramona and Ryan. May your happily ever after start today and continue throughout the rest of your lives.
