Rachel & Jarom ~ June 7, 2012

June 7, 2012 was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple to be married. Rachel and Jarom, who first met in high school through a mutual friend and went to prom together, finally married in a casual ceremony with a come-and-go reception. The bride embraced radiance with a cap-sleeved dress, adorned with lace and beaded detailing and just a hint of sparkle. Her hair was worn down with loose curls and no jewelry, save for her wedding ring. The bridesmaids wore a variety of dresses in different colors and styles, while the groomsmen wore khaki pants and white button down shirts with ties. Jarom wore a tan suit with a tie and could have stepped off a Hollywood set. Together, the couple looked timeless. The color scheme paired white and green, with Rachel’s bouquet being an assortment of white flowers and green buds. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet with white spider mums and green buds. The day was filled with family and fun. The flower girl wore a white headband with a daisy on it and a brown sash and took her job very seriously. The big entrance came with a horse-drawn carriage and felt like a fairy tale. Décor the for the reception consisted of framed pictures of the couple. Instead of flowers on the tables, crystal candelabras shone, casting a warm light over the tables. A few unique details at the reception included a framed chalkboard that told the story of the couple’s love through major dates in their history. The story began when they first met and ended on their wedding day as they became Mr. & Mrs. and were filled in with the date of their first kiss and the proposal in February. There were also Jenga blocks where guests could write a piece of advice to help the couple build a strong foundation for their marriage. A great way to record and remember all the guests was through a painted tree with two bluebirds sitting on a branch. Guests were invited to ‘leaf’ a fingerprint in green stamp to act as leaves on the tree with their signature underneath. Guests were creative, leaving fingerprints in clusters, flying in the air or gathered underneath the tree. The reception was a festive affair with the couple dancing their first dance to Shania Twain’s You’re Still the One, followed by a touching moment when father and daughter danced to I Loved Her First by Heartland. Their cake was vanilla, chocolate and lemon in four tiers of different sizes and shapes. The sweetness continued with popcorn bags sealed with labels saying Love is Sweet. Grab a Treat. After the Villa Siena signature sparkler exit, the couple drove off in their pick-up truck with pink streamers and cups and a yellow trailing behind and ‘Just Married’ written on the back window.
