Pilar & Josh ~ April 10, 2025

A chance meeting on island of Guam led to true love for Pilar and Josh, who were married on April 10, 2025.

Pilar dazzled in a sleeveless ballgown with spaghetti straps, a plunging illusion neckline and side slit, floral designs on the bodice and skirt, scoop back, and button-down back detail. Her accessories included drop earrings, a pearl necklace, and white heels with ankle straps. Her bouquet included assorted flowers in shades of lavender, light blue, and white. Her three bridesmaids wore individual full-length periwinkle dresses. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Josh wore a light gray suit with a matching vest, white shirt, lavender-colored tie, and lavender-colored rose boutonniere. His best man wore a dark gray suit with a white shirt, lavender-colored tie, and lavender-colored rose boutonniere. His other two groomsmen wore medium gray suits with white shirts, lavender-colored ties, and lavender-colored rose boutonnieres.

A family friend officiated a traditional unplugged ceremony outdoors.

Later, guests dined on spring-mix salad with strawberries, apples, feta cheese, and pecans with raspberry vinaigrette dressing; creamy Parmesan risotto; mixed vegetables; grilled mahi mahi with honey citrus glaze; and flat iron steak with chimichurri sauce.

During the speeches, the maid of honor spoke about her sorority days with the bride. The best man talked about his time in the military with the groom. The father of the bride also gave a toast.

Josh and Pilar’s first dance as man and wife was to “New Resolutions” by Jean-Luc Ponty. Pilar and her father shared a special dance as well, as did Josh and his mother. Other wedding fun included a photobooth.

The wedding cake was a small one-tier creation decorated with roses and a topper that read “Always.” For the guests, there were a range of desserts including cookies, cheesecake bites and raspberry crumble bars.

Congratulations to this wonderful couple!
