Nina & Landon ~ January 3, 2013

To bring in the beginning of the New Year, January 3, 2013, Nina and Landon got married at Villa Siena. What better way to start a new year than by committing to the one you love? Love has been a theme throughout the couple’s relationship. It was at a Valentine’s Day party that Nina first saw Landon. Cupid’s arrow was shot even though the couple did not officially meet until it was arranged a month later.

Nina was a picture of innocence and beauty in a lace gown with cap sleeves and a V-shaped neckline, softened by scallops of lace. At the back the dress swept out into a train while the bride’s long hair was swept to one side. The bridesmaids expressed their individual personalities with each wearing a different style grey dress. The groom wore a black suit with a silver patterned tie, while his friends stood up beside him in black suits, white shirts and black ties.

Lavender played an important role in the ceremony with the groom wearing a lavender bunch in his lapel. The bridesmaids carried bunches of lavender as bouquets while Nina had a more traditional bouquet of white roses and green springs of greenery. Favors for the guests were also bunches of lavender, a perfect tribute to spring.

Even though it was January, Nina and Landon enjoyed an outdoor reception with heat lamps to keep everyone warm. The warmth and love spread throughout the night with several people offering toasts.  Framed photographs of the couple were placed on every table next to a variety of flowers in four separate vases. Votive candles cast a soft glow over the festivities.

A live musician sang Phillip Phillip’s Home for the couple’s first dance. Then a delicious lemon cake was served as the night began to wind down. Congratulations Nina and Landon. Thank you for sharing such a special day with us.
