Michelle & Joshua ~ June 3, 2012

Sometimes there are couples that are destined for one another. This certainly seemed to be the case with Michelle and Joshua. They met in their early teens in Mexico on a mission trip, where Michelle’s parents first met Joshua and thought he would be perfect for their daughter. He is. Five years later, they decided to wed at Villa Siena.

With the groom in a traditional tuxedo with bow tie and his groomsmen in black tuxedos with red vests and red ties, they lined the altar, waiting for Michelle to step down the aisle. Her bridesmaids helped her into her gown. The fitted bodice had floral lace detailing with a few sparkles that wrapped over one shoulder, while the detailing continued asymmetrically across the front of the gown, softly flowing into a long skirt. A few floral diamond hair details sparkled from underneath her lace-edged veil. The red roses of Michelle’s bouquet carried a crystal gem in the heart of each flower. Once the bride was ready, the flower girls started down the aisle, doing a wonderful job of tossing red rose petals on the red runner leading to the altar. One of the ring bearers was to shy to walk down the aisle, but the couple received their rings nonetheless. The bridesmaids followed with red knee-length dresses and white rose bouquets. When Michelle finally entered, the look on Joshua’s face said everything that needed to be said about their love.

The groom’s father was the officiant and read the mission statements he had asked Michelle and Joshua to write for their future lives. The personal statements continued through the ceremony with the best man and groom’s brother saying that the two of them were such an inspiration. The groom’s father said they were blessed for the bride to be joining them, and the bride’s father said ‘they are better together than they are apart.’

At the reception, the guest book was custom designed with creative memories of the couple. Later in the evening, a video played pictures of them growing up. When Michelle and Joshua entered, they wore sunglasses, before they went into their first dance, which was a song the couple wrote and recorded together. The parting gifts were a gesture of the couple’s sweetness with Hershey’s kisses and a note acknowledging what a blessing their friends and family were. The evening ended with a Villa Siena signature sparkler farewell. Congratulations Michelle and Joshua on your wedding and on your future together.
