Melanie & Bryce ~ December 15, 2018

A Precious Purple-and-White Wedding

If you ask us, one of the best things about the Villa Siena is its versatile, Tuscan-inspired look. The gorgeous architecture and warm color palette make it a complementary choice for any wedding color scheme! We’ve hosted weddings with soft pastel palettes, deep rich jewel tones, and even bright, vibrant colors — like Melanie and Bryce’s purple-hued wedding!

This sweet young couple chose a purple and white color scheme for their ceremony, which took place outside in our Piazza Toscana on December 15th. The purple and white roses that decorated our fireplace added a stunning pop of color to the beautiful courtyard, and things only got more lovely as the bridal party arrived!

The bridesmaids were dressed in purple knee-length dresses and light grey shawls, while the groomsmen wore classic black suits with purple vests and ties. Groom Bryce looked particularly sharp with his black suit, purple tie, and white-and-purple boutonniere, but no one shone quite as bright as our bride. Melanie’s wedding gown featured a v-neckline and gorgeous beaded appliques that covered the entire dress, and the chapel veil she wore added an extra touch of elegance.

The couple had a traditional wedding, complete with a unity sand ceremony and a violin and piano player to set the mood. After they said “I do,” guests headed to the reception hall, where they were greeted by photos of the couple and their families, as well as cookies (including gluten-free options). Melanie and Bryce also embraced the holiday spirit for their December wedding, asking guests to sign Christmas ornaments in lieu of a guest book.

Melanie and Bryce shared their first dance to “Angel” by Casting Crowns before inviting everyone to enjoy a buffet dinner of caprese salad, caprese chicken, flat iron steak, creamy mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies. During dinner, the DJ emceed a few ice breaker games, truly invited the guests to mingle and get to know one another. The reception was filled with food, dancing, games, and laughter — it was the perfect wedding for this fun-loving couple!
