McKensie & Aaron ~ September 29, 2012

The end of September offered the warm weather for an outdoor wedding. McKensie and Aaron met on-line and found the perfect connection that so many people seek in their lives. The couple’s color scheme was brown and blue with yellow flowers. The villa’s fountain floated yellow rose petals with more sprinkled down the white runner. Aisle chairs were adorned with yellow floral arrangements.

The wedding day was filled with energy. Both the bridesmaids and the bride were filled with smiles. Strapless knee-length black dresses were worn by the bridesmaids. Turquoise shoes were a bright flash of the unexpected.  Flowers were worn in the women’s hair.  The groomsmen wore blue vests with white ties. Aaron was a little more traditional in a black tuxedo with a white shirt, tie and handkerchief. Iliana made a splash in a dress with beaded detailing across the bust and floral detailing. The overall style of the dress was tiered in a gauzy material. A bright bouquet of yellow sunflowers and roses tied with a blue ribbon added a pop of color. The flower girl prepared the way for the bride in a black dress. She did a wonderful job.

During the ceremony the bride and groom chose for a sand ceremony with brown and blue sand. The vases were etched with the bride and groom’s initials. Sand was poured into a personalized box with the couple’s name on it.

At the reception, the tables were set with ivory linens, blue napkins and floating yellow tulips in water with votive candles on top. Bouquets of yellow flowers were also on the table. Each table had a picture of the bride and groom according to their age. For example, table eight had two pictures; one of McKensie and one of Aaron at age eight.

God Bless the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts played for the first dance. The cake offered a laugh with a great topper of a bride tackling her groom holding a football. On the top tier were two helmets, representing the couple’s universities. One was for ASU and one for UofA. Favors were bags of mints with the tag Mint to be together.

Congratulations McKensie and Aaron. May you share all the happiness in the world.
