Mary and Andy took center stage when they were married in a Shakespeare-themed wedding on November 9, 2021.
Mary wore a dazzling blue off-the-shoulder ballgown with a deep V illusion neckline, a lace bodice with embroidery and appliques, and a full skirt. Her accessories included a jeweled headpiece, a gold bracelet, and a full-length white veil. Her bouquet was composed of roses and peonies in shades of white and peach with botanical accents. Her three bridesmaids wore individual full-length gold dresses and carried modified versions of the bride’s bouquet. Her two bridesmen wore light gray suits with gold vests, white shirts, gold ties, gold pocket squares, and peach peony boutonnieres.
Andy got married in a blue suit with a white vest, white shirt, white bow tie, white pocket square, and yellow flower boutonniere. His four groomsmen wore light gray suits with gold vests, white shirts, gold ties, gold pocket squares, and peach peony boutonnieres. His groomswoman wore a light gray suit with a white shirt, gold tie, and gold pocket square, and carried a bouquet to match the bridesmaids.
The couple performed a handfasting ritual and read personal vows to each other during the outdoor ceremony. Andy spoke highly of Mary’s father, who had asked him to take good care of his daughter before he passed.
Next, guests sat down to a meal of mixed-greens salad, grilled vegetables, pasta salad, mashed potatoes, lemon chicken, and steak. The wedding favors were little vials of chocolate.
In the speeches, the best man complimented the groom, spoke about his close friendship with the couples, and wished them many happy years together. The maid of honor called Mary the strongest person she knows and talked about how happy Andy has made her.
The couple’s first dance was to “Oh Carol.” Other wedding fun included an anniversary dance, a bouquet toss, and a photobooth.
The three-tiered wedding cake was done in a white, naked frosting style. It was decorated with greenery and topped with a ornament depicting the couple and their cat.
Andy and Mary left their wedding under the signature sparkler exit.
