Lisa & Mario ~ October 11, 2013

Introduced by mutual friends ten years ago, Lisa and Mario wed at Villa Siena October 11, 2013. Romance filled the relationship when Mario proposed to Lisa during sunset on a Jamaican Cruise. To remember the roots of their engagement a poem was read during the ceremony that was thought to be written by Bob Marley.

The evening ceremony was lit up with a fire in the fireplace at the altar and candles burning on top, mingling with vases of red roses. Candles also burned at the ends of each aisle of chairs.

During the ceremony, the officiant summed up the relationship by declaring, “they were best friends from the get-go”…and “you’ve found what everyone looks for.” For the wedding, Mario’s eyes looked only to his bride who wore a strapless gown with beaded bodice and full skirt. A diamond necklace brought a shine to the look. The bride’s hair was worn back from her face. Her shoes were a sassy pair of silver platform shoes covered in crystals. Bridesmaids wore floor-length black gowns with plunging necklines. Mario chose a black tuxedo with tails, a tie with diamond tiepin and a red rose in his lapel. The groomsmen also wore tails and ties.

An antique flair marked the reception. An old fashioned typewriter sat on the guest sign-in table with a note from Mom and Nicholas reading ‘May all the love that fills your hearts, as your new life together starts, bring lasting happiness to you, and dreams to share your whole life through.’ Table numbers were framed in an antique black frame.

During the speeches at the reception, the bride’s mother officially welcomed Mario to the family. The couple kicked off their first dance as husband and wife with James Brown’s Try Me.

Their cake was three tiers with white and black ribbon and a black design accent on the middle layer. Fresh red roses topped the cake.

Congratulations Lisa and Mario. May you always remember the love that brought you together on your wedding day. We wish you the best.
