Lindsey & Ed ~ May 1, 2016

villa-siena-wedding-16Lindsey and Ed were married on Sunday, May 1, 2016.

Lindsey modeled a wedding gown purchased from Demetrios in Scottsdale – complete with a bejeweled bodice beneath a sweetheart neckline, and a tulle-heavy ballgown skirt. A sheer veil was pinned in her spiraling blonde hair with a bedazzled headband. She held a bouquet of white roses, lavender freesia, and purple and white stock, as did her five bridesmaids. The bridesmaids wore sweetheart mini dresses with thin straps in turquoise, while the Maid of Honor donned royal blue.

Ed wore a black suit with a white vest, shirt, and necktie, plus a gray pocket square. The groomsmen wore gray suits, the Best Man donning a purple vest, tie, and pocket square, and the remaining men sporting turquoise vests, ties, and pocket squares.

Lindsey and Ed’s outdoor ceremony was held at the end of a petal-strewn red carpet. A prayer was said, a unity candle lit, and the couple wrote their own vows. The officiant sprinkled petals around the bride and groom to symbolize a circle of love and said, “May this fire kindle your passion for each other eternally.”

A dinner was later served from Salerno’s, consisting of chicken francaise ad cheese ravioli with pink sauce. The wedding cake was comprised of three separate cakes on three separate tiers. The cakes were dark purple, green, and white with purple ribbon, and the flavors included chocolate with raspberry, white cake, and vanilla with lemon curd.

During toasts, the Best Man – Ed’s older brother Joe – said, “May your future bring you health and happiness,” and welcomed Lindsey to the family. The Maid of Honor, Lindsay, has been friends with the bride since fifth grade, and said, “I have had the amazing opportunity to watch Lindsey grow.” She also expressed how Lindsey is loyal to her friends and family, and above all, Ed. She finished with, “My best friend has found her new best friend. Ed, thank you for making Lindsey so happy.”

Lindsey and Ed’s first dance was to “Always and Forever” by Heatwave. The new couple left under the signature sparkler farewell, and we wish them all the best!
