Lauren & Jimmy ~ May 12, 2012

May was a month overflowing with love and happiness at Villa Siena. The celebration of Lauren and Jimmy filled the Villa with warmth while the sun added a gentle glow to the day.  The bridesmaids made an impression with soft, flowing deep eggplant strapless gowns and white bouquets. As the bride entered, she stole the day with a simple satin strapless gown. Silver beading at the waist was echoed by the diamond hair accessory she wore, sweeping her hair off her face. Lauren chose a floor-length veil that complimented the look without distracting from it.  The bride’s bouquet brought together various shades of purple. The groomsmen wore eggplant vests and ties while the groom stood out in a black tuxedo with white shirt and tie. The couple chose an indoor ceremony attended by family and friends. White petals banked the aisle. Candles filled the room with a warm glow. The couple received invaluable advice during the ceremony: ‘The ceremony may be quick but marriage is for a lifetime.” Then the officiant read ‘My Promise to Love You.’ With those words in mind the couple began the celebration that their life will continue to be. The grand entrance of the wedding party kicked off with Let it Rock. The couple softened the mood as they entered to Just The Way You Are, and then danced their first dance to When You Got A Good Thing. The open dance began with father and daughter, mother and son, and the bridal party the dance floor and ended up with a party. The best man, and brother of the groom, brought a sense of humor to the day and everyone was thankful he did not lose the rings. Jimmy literally tied the rings to him. In keeping with the importance of family, Jimmy’s proposal to Lauren was done on sister Cassie’s birthday. Dinner consisted of Caesar salad, roasted chicken filled with spinach, provolone, pine nuts, and sun dried tomato finished with herb chardonnay sauce as well as peppercorn crusted tenderloin of beef with béarnaise sauce and potato au gratin. The menu doubled as a photo booth picture sleeve. Guests contributed their smiles at the photo booth that will offer reminders to Lauren and Jimmy of how much they are loved. After dinner, dancing continued until the cake, a white cake featuring a white bow and fresh violet flowers on top, was served. The celebration finally wound down and the happy couple headed out to begin the rest of their lives together. Thank you, Lauren and Jimmy for sharing your day with us. We were honored and wish you the best.
