Lauren & Chase ~ August 18, 2012

Fun is about the only word we can use to describe the wedding of Lauren and Chase at Villa Siena on August 8, 2012. Lauren was surrounded by her bridesmaids as she put the finishing touches on her satin strapless gown. A black sash with crystal beading flowed down the back of the dress into her train. She wore her hair loose with a headband and veil with beaded edging. Her bridesmaids wore deep red gowns with a single strap and had white rose bouquets. The wedding party was filled with laughs as they got ready. The groom was flanked by his groomsmen, all wearing red and black checkered socks and black sneakers. The groom was distinguished with red sneakers, a black tuxedo, black shirt, vest and white tie. The red rose in his lapel matched the sneakers. Even the father of the bride sported black sneakers with his black tuxedo and black tie and unbeknownst to most guests, the bride herself was wearing red sneakers. Both Lauren and Chase wrote their own vows. The honest sentiments shared brought tears to both their eyes. They took turns wiping away the tears as the vows were read. The officiant spoke wisely of the importance of continuing to be the best they could be for one another after they were married. As they started their recessional, Chase couldn’t help but stop for a sweeping kiss from his new bride. Large framed photographs of the couple greeted guests at the reception. Then, in line with the officiant’s words, the first dance for the married couple was Better Together by Jack Johnson. The mother of the groom had a surprise for everyone as a flash mob broke out, featuring several women attending the wedding. They put on red hats and performed a choreographed dance to Tik Tok by Kesha. The fun continued with a photo booth with hats and props. During the speeches, the maid of honor gave Chase a rubix cube and told him he might need it to occupy himself waiting for Lauren to wake up in the morning. This was just one of several symbolic gifts given. The best man told Chase he hoped he would be as good of a husband as he is a brother. With so much love surrounding them, there is no doubt that Lauren and Chase will have a long and fulfilling life together. Congratulations.
