Lauren & Bryce ~ November 2, 2013

Lauren and Bryce let their personalities shine through on their wedding day, November 2, 2013. The couple had an outdoor wedding ceremony, brightened with arrangements of sunflowers and bluebells. The style of the wedding and reception offered a romantic feel.

For the ceremony, Lauren wore a sleeveless gown that was fitted to above the knee. The bodice was beaded on top with lace layers flowing into a chiffon skirt. The back of the gown had bows along the spine. The bride’s bouquet was made up of sunflowers and roses, with a cross hanging from the bouquet. Instead of a more traditional veil, the bride chose a flower fascinator with face veil. Underneath her dress was a Star Wars garter and blue sparkly shoes. The bridesmaids wore blue dresses, each of a different style that came to the knee. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 was quoted during the ceremony. The couple also had a wine box ceremony.

The groomsmen picked up the blue of the bridesmaid’s dresses in their blue striped ties worn with black tuxedos. The groom had a white striped tie and all wore yellow flowers in their lapels.

At the guest sign-in table a vintage suitcase served as a collection for cards and envelopes. Framed pictures of the couple filled the table.

The wedding cake was three tiers with black satin ribbon and a delicate floral design. Inside was a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and a vanilla cake with lemon filling. The cake topper was a bride stepping on a suitcase reaching up to kiss her groom.

During the speeches the best man said he couldn’t imagine a better wife for his best friend, while the maid of honor talked about what a hilariously incredible guy Bruce is.

A garter toss added some of humor as ping-pong balls were strapped under a chair to look like the groom was pulling them from the bride’s dress.

Adele’s Make You Feel My Love played for the first dance followed by Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman.

Favors were hummingbirds containing seeds that could be planted. The night ended with guests waving glow sticks as the couple left.
