Krystal & JP ~ March 25, 2016

Villa-Siena-Pink-Wedding (26)Krystal and JP met at a work meeting, hitting it off in Baltimore, and were married on Friday, March 25, 2016.

Krystal modeled a WTOO wedding gown with a ball gown skirt and beaded top with a sweetheart neckline. A lengthy veil was pinned in her flowing brunette hair, and she stood atop white bejeweled, peep-toe heels. She held a posy-tied bouquet of light pink and white roses accompanied by white hydrangeas, as did her three bridesmaids. The bridesmaids donned light pink Jim Hjelm sheath gowns with thin straps and V neck tops.

JP sported a three-piece grey suit with a white necktie and a light pink rose pinned to his lapel. His three groomsmen wore two-piece grey suits with light pink neckties.

Guests to the outdoor ceremony were greeted with a live bagpipe player, and a white-carpeted path flanked with white and light pink rose petals. The officiant told the story of Krystal and JP’s relationship – how they are both whole on their own but are truly better together, and God’s gift to each other. They will continue to love each other unconditionally, and how it’s not about choosing the right partner, it’s about being the right partner. Krystal, JP, and their daughter then performed the sand ceremony to symbolize the strength of their family.

During the reception, a dinner of Caesar salad, grilled Mahi Mahi, braised beef short ribs, creamy mashed potatoes, and fresh green beans was served. The vanilla flavored wedding cake consisted of three round tiers, and featured a cluster of light pink roses cascading down the front.

During toasts, the Maid of Honor Kirsten wished the best for the new couple. The Best Man Rob recalled how JP was always picky, and he can now say that the groom’s pickiness has paid off. He expressed his love and happiness for the couple, and welcomed Krystal to the family.

Krystal and JP’s first dance was to “This Never Happened Before” by Paul McCartney, and the Father/Daughter Dance was to “Have I Told You Lately” by Rod Stewart. The reception also featured wine glasses and napkins reading “Mr. & Mrs. Shilling.”

We wish all the happiness to the new Mr. and Mrs. Shilling.
