Kelsey & Orlando ~ May 13, 2017

Kelsey and Orlando, who met when she moved into his condo complex, were married on May 13, 2017.

For the ceremony, Kelsey wore a full-length A-line gown with a plunging V-neck, spaghetti straps, lace detail, and a long train. During the reception, she changed into a strapless tea-length dress with an embellished bodice. Both dresses were designed by Martina Liana. Her cascade-style bouquet was composed a variety of flowers in tones of white, ivory, and blush, plus other botanical accents. Her eight bridesmaids wore pale blush-colored full-length gowns with plunging necklines, embellished bodices, and tulle skirts. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Orlando chose a traditional tuxedo with black vest, black bow tie, white pocket square, and white rose boutonniere. His eight groomsmen dressed to match him.

During the ceremony, Kelsey’s father walked her down an aisle lined with rose petals. A moment of silence was observed for family members who had passed.

Inside at the reception, guests were invited to sign a wooden flower petal that would be used in a keepsake for the couple. Then, they dined on a meal of mixed greens wrapped in cucumber strips with mandarin oranges, fresh berries, crumbled feta, sugared walnuts, and raspberry vinaigrette; grilled boneless chicken breast filled with prosciutto and provolone cheese topped with lemon beurre blanc; and filet mignon served with Burgundy bordelaise and a mushroom duxelle sauce.

During the speeches, family members joked about how far people would travel for a free meal. The best man reminisced about what Orlando was like when he met him. The matron of honor performed a rap send-up of the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme.

Orlando and Kelsey danced their first dance as a married couple to “My Best Friend” by Tim McGraw. Kelsey and her father danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, and Orlando and his mother danced to “My Wish” by Rascal Flatts.

The six-tiered wedding cake featured white-on-white detailing and was decorated with flowers and the couple’s monogram. The groom’s cake was in the shape of a football and featured the University of Arizona logo.

The newlyweds left the reception under the signature sparkler sendoff.

We wish Kelsey and Orlando all the love and happiness in the world!
