Harry Potter, Star Wars, and a Little Magic for Katie and Chris
A touch of Star Wars, a splash of Harry Potter, and so much love — Katie and Chris’s big day was bursting with amazing details. We love it when couples put their stamp on their wedding day, and at Villa Siena we pride ourselves on being an Arizona wedding venue that brings their dreams to life. We think Katie and Chris’ purple-filled day definitely had a little bit of magic in the air.
Katie was stunning in her mermaid dress with a sweetheart neckline — and Chris’ purple suit definitely deserves a special mention. Perfectly matched with the bridesmaids (and the pops of purple in the groomsmen), it was such a fresh and unique look.
The ceremony was also a great way to highlight their personalities — and their commitment to each other. Not only did Katie share how she couldn’t wait for a lifetime of memories with Chris, the couple also chose to do a handfasting ceremony. This beautiful Celtic tradition represents two lives being bound into one, and it was such a special moment for everyone to see.
There was so much excitement to take in at the reception. Everyone loved the idea of having guests sign a globe and postcards, and the custom aprons for the bride and groom during dinner were a hoot. And of course, there was a gorgeous cake — complete with purple flowers!
During the toasts, the best man shared what a special connection Katie and Chris have. We couldn’t help but agree — they clearly have a lifetime of beautiful memories ahead!
