The love story of Katie and Brad began when the mother of the bride set them up on a blind date. The couple married July 10, 2015 in a ceremony at the Gilbert Temple.

Katie married in a high-necked gown with cap sleeves and a mermaid flair. Her hair was worn down with a veil attached in back. Gold shoes added a splash of color to the ensemble. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and greenery. The bridesmaids’ blush-colored dresses finished below the knee and also had cap sleeves. For his wedding day, Brad wore a navy suit with brown shoes and belt, a white shirt and pink tie. His groomsmen were dressed to match.

The villa was decorated with photographs of the couple and gold candles, which cast a soft glow over the ceremony. The couple’s name shone in up-lighting during the reception. Each chair was wrapped with a sheer pink ribbon tied in bows.

For dinner the couple sat at a sweetheart table with a custom “Mr. & Mrs. Gulbrandsen” sign in front of them. A buffet of snacks was offered to guests along with infused watermelon and citrus waters. For fun, a gelato bar and Italian soda bar were also available for guests.

The groom’s only request for the wedding was that there be an ice cream cake, which the couple used for the cake cutting ceremony. A traditional cake with gold accents and blush rosettes was also served. The cake topper was the word LOVE. Favors were chocolate bars with custom wrappers. As the night wound guests let love sparkle as the couple was given a send-off with a signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell.
