Kate & Nate ~ February 1, 2019

A (Tennis) Match Made in Heaven

Kate and Nate met during a fateful tennis lesson, and when they got married this past February, the “love” was all around!

The couple opted for a romantic color palette of white, pink, with touches of rose gold for some extra glamor. The bridesmaids wore long, glittering rose gold gowns with cute cap sleeves, while Nate and his groomsmen cleaned up nicely in grey suits with blush pink ties. But of course, everyone’s eyes were on Kate, who stunned the guests (and the groom) in her beautiful Martina Liana gown with a dropped waist and mermaid-style skirt.

It was hard not to feel the love in the air during the ceremony, as the couple added personal touches to show how much they cared for each other and their families. A mutual friend officiated the affair and a grandmother gave a special reading, and the whole event was accompanied by a string quartet. During the ceremony the couple was asked to find one word to describe each other; their answers (Kate said “devoted,” Nate said “compassionate”) proved just how sincere and sweet their relationship is.

After the “I dos” (and an encore performance from the quartet) it was time for the reception. Nate and Kate paid homage to their relationship’s humble beginnings with tennis balls and a racket decorating the welcome table! After they made their grand entrance, the couple danced to Jason Aldean’s “You Make it Easy.” They also shared special dances with their parents and their guests; Kate and her father danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, Nate and his mother danced to Rascal Flatts’ “My Wish,” and they had an anniversary dance for married guests set to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.” Guests also enjoyed a delicious dinner of mixed green salad, filet mignon, grilled Atlantic salmon, mashed potatoes, and grilled veggies, complete with a scrumptious almond and red velvet cake with buttercream icing.

As the evening drew to a close, Nate and Kate got to experience one more magical moment (the first of many in their married life, we assume). Their guests gathered outside the Villa, lit sparklers in hand, for a beautiful sparkler exit that we’re sure the couple will treasure forever! It was a beautiful wedding, full of romance and laughter, and we wish the happy couple all the best.
