Kaitlyn & Coy~ December 31, 2012

December 31st marked the end of 2012 and the beginning of a new life for Kaitlyn and Coy as husband and wife. For a simply elegant wedding, the couple chose a black and white color scheme highlighted with silver and gold.

The bride wore a white gown with a black and white striped bow that tied just under the bust. For jewelry a chunky necklace with onyx and diamonds was chosen. A burst of color was added with a bouquet of purple and yellow flowers. To match his bride, Coy wore a grey tuxedo with a black and white striped bow tie.

Bridesmaids had above the knee white dresses with black sashes around the waist and black chunky necklaces. The bridesmaids had bouquets that were slightly smaller than the bride’s but with the same arrangement of flowers. All the girls wore the same black strappy heels. The groomsmen’s ensemble echoed the groom with bowties but theirs were white.

As with many December weddings, the ceremony was held indoors with candles and flower petals decorating the aisle. During the processional the Kaitlyn and Coy’s grandparents held pink roses to signify their spouse that had passed. But the wedding really began when Kaitlyn was walked down the aisle to join her husband.

To help everyone get to know one another, the couple put out picture frames for guests to ‘Meet the maids’ and ‘meet the men.’ During the reception Just the Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra played for the first dance while the night ended with New York, New York.

For the guest’s pleasure a three-tiered cake was served with chocolate glaze drizzled down the sides and white chocolate covered strawberries on top.

Congratulations Kaitlyn & Coy. May your lives be as sweet as the day you were married.
