Jovie & Shawn Start Married Life In Style
After their stunning April wedding at Villa Siena, we definitely couldn’t help falling in love with Jovie and Shawn. This amazing couple met through his best friend — and they brought the classic black and white glamor with them on their big day. We adored Jovie’s long-sleeved A-line dress. And that stunning bouquet, with touches of pink roses mixed in with the white, gave a beautiful touch of romantic softness. Plus, those sharp black lapels on Shawn’s white suit were such a classy touch.
The ceremony itself was full of emotion from start to finish. Outside, surrounded by beautiful florals and music from a violin, this couple really made this special moment their own. The cord and veil ceremony, a Filipino tradition, was such a lovely way to symbolize the couple coming together as one. We love seeing all of the different traditions that make their way into this Arizona wedding venue, but this one was really special.
Those same personal touches came through at the reception — and we can’t forget that it was Shawn’s dad’s birthday. What a present it must have been to watch his son start his new life in style! From the wish tree to the money dance — and even Jerika, one of the guests, sharing a beautiful performance, it was such an amazing day. During the toast, we learned that this couple’s family and friends have always relied on them and looked up to them, and it was easy to see why. We’re so glad they chose to start married life together with us.
