Jessica & Chris ~ October 5, 2012

October is a popular month for outdoor weddings at Villa Siena. The temperate Arizona climate makes our venue a popular choice for those wishing to escape the cold.

From the first time we met Jessica we could see her spunk and her zest for life. That played out in her wedding undergarments, or at least her garter, which denoted her favorite sport team. The bride also chose ballerina shoes instead of high heels. The shoes were ivory with crystals letting them sparkle. Jessica’s dress was a perfect fit for her and she looked simply stunning. She chose a crystal headband instead of a veil and wore diamond earrings that nicely complimented the beading on her dress. Her hair was in curls that when swept to the side revealed the tattoo on her upper back. The bridesmaids wore spring green strapless dresses that had a soft flow and rouching on the upper bodice. Their bouquets had large green leaves wrapped around them, adding contrast to the flowers.

However, before the bride made her grand entrance, the groom walked down the aisle and took his place at the altar, wearing a grey suit with white vest, shirt and tie. The groomsmen stood by his side in spring green vests and ties. Ushers walked Jessica’s dogs down the aisle. The male boxer wore a tuxedo of his own, while the female pit mix had a white dress on. The dogs brought a smile to the guests’ faces.

As the couple was married, a soft fire flickered in the freestanding fireplace.

At the reception, a photo board of the bride and groom featured images of the couple at several locations they had visited together. Place cards were displayed around the frame. Each location’s name was also used in place of table numbers. At the reception, Jessica and Chris took a spin on the dance floor to Lady Antebellum’s When You Got a Good Thing.

When they played the ‘longest married,’ the couple that had been together for 48 years won. Favors were small boxes that contained three petit cakes, a pink champagne cake with cream cheese filling, a peanut butter cake with fudge filling and an almond cake with coconut filling. Their wedding cake was a four-tiered beauty with overflowing green hydrangeas. Two layers had black and white patterns, while the center layer was green fondant with a silver monogrammed C resting on it. Black ribbon edged each tier. Congratulations Jessica & Chris. We wish you a happy, healthy and loving life together.
