Jennifer & Mark ~ October 12, 2013

October 12, 2013 welcomed Jennifer and Mark to Villa Siena for their wedding ceremony and reception. The couple wanted a beach/zombie themed wedding, which was incorporated throughout the day. Jennifer and Mark met at a housewarming party and the connection they made lasted.

During the ceremony, the groom wore a black tuxedo with blue and black striped tie. Neither the groom nor his groomsmen wore jackets for the ceremony. The groomsmen alternated turquoise and white shirts with ties and each had a secret underneath – a superhero shirt. Jennifer’s bridesmaid wore a teal green above-the-knee dress. Jennifer’s other two bridesmaids were male friends who wore tuxes to match the groomsmen.

Jennifer wore a strapless gown with lace tulle skirt and beaded detailing on the bodice. A chunky turquoise necklace brought out the blue in her eyes. Earrings were skulls carved from turquoise with a cross hanging below. Her bouquet was a bright blend of light and bright pink roses, orange roses, spider mums, buds and greenery. Both the bride and groom wore sneakers for the ceremony. Jennifer’s were lime green with purple laces while Mark’s were grey.

To personalize the ceremony, they couple wrote their own vows and had a time capsule. Lining the altar were bottles with scrolls rolled up inside them.

Because the wedding took place early in the day, guests enjoyed a nice brunch including an omelet bar  which was set up with bacon and hashbrowns.

Centerpieces brought in the beach theme with candles floating on water above sea glass on a tray of sand. The cake mixed the zombie and beach themes with three tilted layers. The bottom layer was sea blue with fish and body parts, while the upper two layers were filled with sand, palm trees and zombies.

Guests were encouraged to sign a guitar for the couple. In a more traditional vein, the first dance was When I Fall In Love. Toasts were given by the maid of honor and best man.

Congratulations Jennifer and Mark, may your love last longer than forever. We wish you the best.
