Jaclyn and Aaron were married at Villa Siena September 13, 2013. The couple had a traditional wedding ceremony. For the event the altar was decorated with bouquets of flowers bursting with white hydrangeas accented with purple and violet flowers. Interspersed with the floral arrangements were vases lined with pictures of family, with votive candles floating on water.
The couple chose a white runner with purple rose petals lining it and an elegant ‘O’ in flower petals in the middle of the aisle. Each row of chairs had framed pictures hanging from the ends of the aisles.
Bridesmaids in eggplant dresses, with a single strap and knee-length skirts carrying bouquets of white flowers, made their way down the aisle towards the groom and his groomsmen. Aaron wore a grey tuxedo with eggplant tie and vest. The groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with black ties. All wore Converse Sneakers.
All eyes were on Jaclyn as she made her big entrance in a strapless gown with rouching across the body that flowed into the skirt and sequined detailing across the bust. She carried a bouquet of purple and white flowers that included pansies and an assortment of other flowers.
Guests were greeted with a fingerprint tree where they were welcomed to add their painted fingerprint as a leaf and put their name underneath. A birdcage was set out for envelopes surrounded by framed pictures of the couple.
The reception involved a pasta station. The couple cut a small cake, while guests were treated to gelato for dessert. Jaclyn’s sister gave a touching speech about how the two fought growing up but now she misses her sister and loves her very much.
The couple’s first dance was to Blake Shelton’s God Gave Me You followed by the father/daughter dance to My Girl by the Temptations and the mother/son dance to Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World.
Favors were purple drink coozies.
