Iliana & John ~ September 14, 2012

September 14, 2012 Iliana and John came together at Villa Siena for their wedding ceremony and reception. At the entrance of the Villa was an oversize frame on a white wrought iron easel with the couple’s names and date of their wedding. Their theme was shabby chic/vintage, outfitting the Villa in soft pinks and whites. The ceremony was held indoors in the Chianciano room. Instead of having the altar decorated with flowers, the couple chose large letters that spelled LOVE, bookended by candles.

Iliana looked beautiful in a dress with a strap around the neck, a sweetheart plunge and beaded design down the front of the dress that ended at the skirt. A beaded strap ran down her spine with a low cut back finishing the dress. She wore a veil with a diamond fascinator and diamond drop earrings. Before walking down the aisle, the bride, the bride’s mother and bridesmaids said a prayer. Iliana’s ten bridesmaids, wearing petal pink one-shoulder strapped gowns, accompanied her down the aisle, but not before the flower girl and ring bearer announced her entrance carrying a sign that said ‘Here comes the bride.’ The groom was handsome in a black tuxedo, white shirt and black tie. His groomsmen wore grey tuxedos with ties. During the ceremony, the couple lit a unity candle. Iliana arranged for Mama’s Song by Carrie Underwood to be played during the ceremony as a tribute to her mother.

At the reception, guests were greeted with a variety of frames of different sizes and shapes with photo-booth sized images of the couple arranged in them. The tables were decorated with tall standing bouquets alternating with vintage hatboxes. Lace tablecloths added the vintage flair. Instead of a first dance, a live jazz band played throughout the night. A slideshow reception was arranged for guests.

The cake was a beautiful vintage design with six tiers with a birdcage on top and vintage flower designs on the lower tiers. The couple toasted throughout the night from engraved champagne flutes. A candy table and photo booth were set up for friends and family to enjoy.

To send the couple off, guests were encouraged to fill out cards with advice for the newlyweds. A white Rolls Royce waited to carry them away to their new life together. Congratulations Iliana and John. We wish you the best.
