Haydee & Jeff ~ February 2, 2013

February 2, 2013. Weddings are the perfect way for family and friends to be part of a special day. For Haydee and Jeff, this included having Haydee’s daughter walk down the aisle first as the flower girl.

Jeff waited at the aisle with his groomsmen who all wore black fedoras with red feathers in the brim. Tuxedos with white ties and vests added a retro feel. Then came the bride looking fabulous in a white gown with silver beading and veil. A bouquet of roses, tulips and calla lilies added a little color in pink and white. The bridesmaids added their own sparkle with pinkish above the knee dresses with a shimmery pattern.

Children friendly weddings can often be difficult for allowing both parents and children to relax and have fun, but Haydee and Jeff solved the problem by providing childcare for guests with children to allow parents to sit back, relax and have fun.

Everyone enjoyed the first dance as the bride and groom celebrated to Elton John’s Your Song. Guests trickled into the reception and were asked to sign in at a table with framed pictures of the couple. During the reception the bride’s father talked about the beauty of father/daughter relationships and how amazing it has been for him to have grandchildren.

Laughter followed sweet sentiments as the bride and groom played a game where they were tested on how much they knew about one another. Their answers were given by holding up one of the bride’s shoes if they felt the questions applied to him/her. Afterwards guests were asked questions and had to applaud to show who they thought the answer applied to; the bride or the groom.

As part of the entertainment for the night the groom’s sister sang a song for the couple. Not to be outdone, the groom surprised Haydee with a song of his own even though he was sick.

A vanilla cake with strawberry filling finished the night before the couple left for their new life together. Congratulations Haydee and Jeff. May your beauty fill your lives and those lives of the friends and family that surround you.
