Gina & Fletcher ~ April 15, 2012

By April 15th, 2012, Villa Siena was in full bloom. Our bride and groom, on this sunny day, were even more radiant than the grounds. With average temperatures in Arizona in the mid-seventies, summer felt like it was here.  The day started and was captured in one of our favorite images with the bride walking into the venue in her casual clothes with her veil on and the flower girl holding her hand. This start was followed by the bridesmaids helping Gina into her dress. To accentuate nature’s bright colors, the bride paired yellow and fuchsia for her color scheme. The bridesmaid’s dresses were clean and bright with spaghetti straps leading into a white top with an empire waist and a fuchsia A-line skirt. The maid-of-honor wore a black dress with a fuchsia ribbon. Their bouquets were golden yellow roses, which were echoed in the bride’s bouquet. Here the roses were paired with white orchids that had fuchsia detailing. Not a lot of bouquets incorporate orchids, but the lines of the petals complemented the ruffles of Gina’s dress. The bride looked incredible with a dropped waistline that came to just below the hips where the skirt then softly fell in organza ruffles to the ground. This was the perfect style for Gina’s figure. With a few beaded details at the bust and hip, there was just a hint of sparkle. She wore a blusher veils with crystal edging and incredible burnished silver sandals that showed off her manicured toes. She went for simplicity in regards to jewelry and wore a pearl bracelet with no necklace or earrings. Her hair was styled in a low bun with a few loose curls around her face. Fletcher and his groomsmen brought the fun to the wedding with black Converse sneakers and black tuxedos. The groomsmen wore fuchsia and white-striped ties while the groom wore a purple and fuchsia tie. The gentlemen relaxed before the ceremony sharing stories before it was time for the walk down the aisle. The couple chose to have a knot ceremony, where the couple ties a knot to symbolize their love. The saying goes that the knot is so strong the rope will break before the knot comes undone and that with pressure the knot only gets tighter, which symbolizes the enduring characteristics of a relationship with longevity. This knot stands for their future together and hopefully they will keep it somewhere to remind them that with love the hardest times in life are made easier by the ones we love. After the ceremony, the groom was caught literally jumping with joy. That’s the expression of love we like to see, uncontainable. Tables were named after places while the centerpieces consisted of three tiers of candles with a floating fuchsia rose and a floating votive candle on top. The cake was a decorative ivory with fresh yellow and fuchsia floral accents. For the first dance, the couple stole a few kisses while Lady Antebellum’s When You Got a Good Thing played. Thank you for sharing your wedding day with us. We wish Gina and Fletcher happiness and joy in their life together.
