Esther & Robert ~ June 1, 2012

June 1, 2012 celebrated the marriage of Esther and Robert. The couple met while working at Target and consecrated their marriage under the alter at Villa Siena. The purple and green color scheme created a summer feel with bright, fresh assortments of flowers. The end of each row of chairs at the ceremony was marked with a bouquet of purple and white flowers and a lit candle. Esther and Robert chose a white runner with white rose petals edging the walkway for their big entrance. The alter was aglow with several tiers of candles and strands of pearls. Esther wore a satin gown with a beaded sash around an empire waist. A diamond necklace sparkled around her neck, while her long black curls were swept to one side and hung down over her shoulder. The bridesmaids wore strapless purple floor-length gowns with sashes around the middle and carried white bouquets. Their hair was worn in up-dos in contrast to the bride’s hair. In a purple crinoline dress with fresh flowers in her hair and flowers on her dress, the flower girl was cute as a button. The usher and ring bearer wore grey tuxedos that matched the groom and groomsmen. Standing out, Robert wore a grey tuxedo with grey piping, a rich purple vest and tie and handkerchief with a purple calla lily boutonniere. The groomsmen wore lavender vests with ties with white calla lilies. At the ceremony, the couple lit the unity candle, joining their two lives into one. Robert literally swept Esther off her feet for their first kiss as husband and wife and we know he will continue to sweep her off her feet throughout the years to come. Once the ceremony was over, the couple was full of smiles for the reception. The guest sign-in table had pictures of the couple and a huge bouquet of spring roses. There is no better endorsement of a couple than that of close friends, as when the best man stated that Esther and Robert were perfect for each other. Guests mingled and danced before being seated at tables decorated with tall vases filled with flowers and votive candles. Dinner was a spinach salad followed by Southwest chicken or Madeira chicken, but the dessert really stole the show. Dessert was the wedding cake, a candy station and dessert table to satisfy every sweet tooth.  The cake was a tiered box cake with purple ribbon and fresh flowers. Favors were collected from the candy bar that was overflowing with purple rock candy, bubble gum balls and chocolates. One cute photograph we should mention was the image of the couple’s rings placed atop different colored gumballs. The dessert table offered almond truffles, cannolis, fruit tarts and, of course, guests sampled the cake, which was a white cake with raspberry filling and a middle tier with almond cake and almond filling. Fresh flowers added the finishing touch. The couple took to the dance floor for Bryan Adams’ Everything I Do, and reminded guests of the selflessness true love takes. Robert is definitely one of the family now and Esther’s sister and maid of honor summed it up when she said ‘my sister is my best friend and now we have become the Three Musketeers.’ Congratulations Esther and Robert. We wish you continued happiness in the years to come.
