Elizabeth & Christopher ~ June 30, 2012

Beth and Chris started dating eleven years ago. On June 30th, 2012 they came to Villa Siena to consecrate their vows and begin their life together as husband and wife. Throughout the day the couple exchanged intimate glances that said more than words ever could, as to how well they knew each other and how much love they shared together. Surrounded by her bridesmaids, Beth stepped into her gown. The strapless dress with sweetheart neckline was made more dramatic by the bride’s choice to go without jewelry. Sparkle was found in the beaded waistband of the dress and in the subtle sequins that ran throughout the lace of the dress. With the finishing touches on her hair completed, Beth looked beautiful. She chose a partial up-do, leaving curls to fall around her face. The veil’s lace edging complimented the lace of the gown. The bride chose a very natural look for her make-up, save for the eyes, where dark eyeliner and mascara made them pop. The bridesmaids looked elegant and stylish in champagne-colored dresses with scoop-necks and full skirts that finished above the knee. Chunky white necklaces completed the look. The bouquets were white roses intermingled with white peonies. For the bride’s bouquet, lace wound the flowers together and a diamond snowflake added a personalized look. The color scheme of white, champagne and silver lent a clean look to the wedding and the reception. Chris and his groomsmen looked dapper in black tuxedos with white vests and white striped ties. They all had a white handkerchief in their pockets and white roses pinned to their lapels. A hired shuttle bus brought guests to and from the venue as all the guests were from out of town. The couple, now living in Chicago originally met in Texas, so their friends and family flew in from all over to see them married. The bride walked down the aisle to the wedding couple’s friends playing bass guitar and violin to Pachelbel’s Canon in D major. The Villa’s fountain was flowing with white rose petals, while wedding programs were tied with ribbon to each chair, in a champagne and white color scheme. Champagne colored bows were wrapped around each chairs. The couple wrote their own vows, which brought laughter and emotions, both from the bride and groom, and from friends and family. The couple appeared very relaxed during the ceremony, but when you have ‘I love you forever,’ inscribed on the groom’s wedding band, what more do you need in life? At the reception, the couple had over thirty framed photographs of their life together, many from high school dances. As the couple danced their first dance, they radiated happiness. To keep the guests satisfied, boxes of gourmet chocolates were given out as favors and a gourmet ice cream buffet offered instant ice cream in any one of the 37,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 flavors available. The flavors are chosen with fresh cream or yogurt, then a flash freezing process turns the creation into ice cream in 15 seconds or less. Soy and rice milk options appealed to vegetarians and vegans. In weddings, the little touches allow guests to better know the couple and to share in their life and in their likes. We know Chris and Beth can look forward to a lifetime of sharing, of loving and laughter. Congratulations.
