Christina & Tiffany ~ December 9, 2012

Villa Siena welcomed Christina and Tiffany to our grounds December 9, 2012. The brides were both radiant as they each slipped into their wedding dresses in separate rooms. Christina wore her dark hair half up with a simple diamond necklace and earrings. Her dress was a fitted strapless gown with sequined detailing. Shoes were black heels with rhinestones. Each bride had a uniquely styled bouquet of red roses. Christina’s was a little wilder looking with sprigs of baby’s breath and bound roses. Tiffany’s bouquet was more stylized with red and white roses in a perfectly round arrangement. The red roses had diamond crystals in the center while the white roses had ruby crystals accenting the heart of the rose. Tiffany also wore a strapless wedding gown, but hers combined ruching, sequins and a flowing gauze material. She wore white heels. Her blonde hair was styled in a half up-do with square diamond earrings as an accent.

The color scheme for the day was black, white and red. The altar had exquisite vases of red roses with white spider mums at the ends with three red rose bouquets on the altar. Candles interspersed the bouquets offering a soft glow. Candles were also placed along the aisle. Each chair had a program hung with ribbon for the guests. The couple placed a photo of the brides’ grandparent, who was no longer with them, on a chair to hold a place in the celebration. Christina’s father walked her down the aisle followed by Tiffany who walked with her mother. During the ceremony the couple lit a unity candle. As they did, each guest was asked to light the candle they had been given before the ceremony started.

At the reception guests were asked to use pink and grey inks to add a fingerprint to a remembrance tree, where each fingerprint became a leaf with a name above it. The brides danced their first dance to You Are by Wynona Judd. During the speeches a friend offered key advice for a good marriage “have good humor, a short memory and say ‘honey, I’m sorry.” The cake was three layers with white and silver details. Black ribbon wrapped each layer along with fresh red roses. Deep red roses topped the cake. As the couple left, officially wedded, a traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell saw them off. Friends and family wished them love and happiness and so do we. Congratulations Christina and Tiffany.
