Cody and Chelsey became man and wife on February 1, 2021.
Chelsey chose a dramatic strapless ballgown with a sweetheart neckline, ruched bodice, and tiered ruffle skirt. Her accessories included a pearl necklace, pearl earrings, and a hip-length veil. Her bouquet included roses, peonies, and other flowers in shades of white and light pink. Her two bridesmaids wore individual navy blue dresses. They carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.
Cody wore a navy blue suit with a navy blue vest, white shirt, pink bow tie, pink pocket square, and white mini bouquet boutonniere. His three groomsmen dressed to match him.
In the ceremony, Chelsey and Cody exchanged personal vows. The officiant prayed for the couple, and said that marriage was a commitment like no other.
Next, guests contributed to a Polaroid photo guest book before dining on a meal of spring mix salad with strawberries, twice-baked potatoes, assorted grilled vegetables, sauteed chicken with mushrooms, and braised beef short ribs. The wedding favors were bubble gum and personalized lip balm.
During the speeches, one of the groomsmen wished the newlyweds many happy years together. One of the bridesmaids talked about how Chelsey has always been there for her. Chelsey’s mother talked about how she has now gained a son.
Chelsey and Cody’s first dance was to “Simply the Best.” The bride’s niece sang “I’ll Stand by You.”
The three-tier wedding cake had a different white-on-white design on each tier. Each level had a navy blue ribbon around the base, and the whole cake was decorated with daisies and roses.
