Catherine and Joshua Prove Love Always Finds a Way
Sometimes love really does come in the most unexpected places — even on a plane! And in the case of Catherine and Joshua, it was a truly remarkable tale with the bride’s mother meeting one of the groom’s family members on board. Catherine’s mother passed on her details along and the rest is history! So we were unbelievably excited when the pair joined us at Villa Siena to celebrate their incredible story, with a wedding dripped with elegance from start to finish.
The day was full of blush pink, white, and greenery, which was not only breathtakingly romantic, but paired perfectly with the topiary and outdoor ceremony — and, of course, Catherine’s stunning v-neck ball gown. The live string quartet was such a sophisticated choice for the heartfelt ceremony, and by the time the glass was smashed everyone was ready to celebrate.
The beautiful florals continued through to the reception, and romance was definitely in bloom when the couple danced their first dance to “My Lover” by Taylor Swift. The reception was full of personal details, with the tables being named after Italian locations, along with light-up tambourines and glow sticks for the dance floor. (And we loved the special chair marked for “The Matchmaker” — what a fun touch!) The cake definitely deserves a shout-out, a beautiful three-tiered creation with intricate detailing and flowers, and the cake pops for the kids were a great choice. With a live band, the guests happily danced the night away. Catherine and Joshua have such an amazing story, and we’re so pleased they joined us for their big day!
