Auvy & Joe ~ October 7, 2012

October 7, 2012 brought Auvy and Joe to Villa Siena for their wedding ceremony and reception. The villa was fully decorated with a variety of yellow, orange and red petals lining a red runner for the bride to walk down. The altar was decorated with flowers and the table where the sand ceremony took place was sprinkled with burnt orange petals. The end chair in each aisle had olive ribbon tied in a decorative bow. This intimate wedding party included both Auvy and Joe’s children in the ceremony. The couple chose an olive green, amber and venetian red color scheme that felt like fall’s fire. These colors were incorporated into the bridesmaid’s olive knee-length strapless dresses and the groomsmen’s ensembles that had olive green handkerchiefs in the pockets of their tuxedos and burnt calla lilies in their lapels. The groom wore a black tuxedo with black vest and bowtie and a calla lily in his lapel.  The bride’s bouquet consisted of burnt orange roses, but the rest of her look was simple and elegant. Her gown had sparkly beaded detailing paired with a gauzy skirt that flowed with her movements and laced up the back. Auvy’s hair was done up in a slight bouffant with a headband instead of a veil. Shoes were strappy and sassy.

The children joined their parents for the sand ceremony, where each person had different colored sand that they poured in, connecting all their lives. At the reception, there was a photo booth, where unexpected images are always captured and an album to sign. Guests left advice and congratulations on cards for the couple. Auvy and Joe chose a sign that read It’s never to late to live happily ever after. However, the highlight of the night was when the bride sang Rascal Flatts’ Bless the Broken Road as a surprise for her husband. What a beautiful night with a heartwarming couple. Congratulations Auvy & Joe. May you always be as happy as you were the day you were married.
