October 20, 2012 marked the wedding of Ashley and Matt at Villa Siena. The bridesmaids helped the beautiful bride get ready as she put the finishing touches on a fitted mermaid-style lace dress with buttons down the back. She wore her hair up and a veil with beaded edging. A simple pearl necklace finished the look. For a bit of sass under the dress Ashley chose red suede shoes with crystal detailing up the heel and a bouquet of red roses. The bridesmaids were very attentive in black strapless dresses that came above the knee with black open-toed shoes. The bridesmaid’s bouquets were ivory roses with two red roses in each one.
Red roses also lined the white aisle runner and floated in the soft waters of the Villa’s outdoor fountain. The stone altar was adorned with red roses, purple snapdragons and greenery. White candles edged the floral arrangement and a fire burned brightly in the outdoor fireplace.
As the groomsmen stood next to the groom, they wore black tuxedos with black bowties. Matt wore a red bowtie with his tuxedo. During the ceremony Ashley and Matt lit a unity candle and Corinthians 13:4-8 was read.
The couple looked classic and timeless in their black and white photographs, as their guests were welcomed to the reception. Guests were encouraged to sign a decorative top of a wine keg. Tall standing vases with hydrangeas and pink and red roses were the focal point of the tables, while red bows were tied around alternating chairs.
A highlight of the night was a live performance of Can’t Help Falling in Love by Nick Palance. The cake was a three-tiered beauty with white layers of fondant and a bow. A candy bar, where guests could take their fill, ensured the sweetness of the day carried on. Beer flights were given as favors with a card reading ‘The Mayhem Madness of Marvelous Matt.’
The couple ended the night with a traditional Villa Siena sparkler farewell. Thank you so much for sharing your special day with us. Congratulations Ashley and Matt.
