Amanda & Richard ~ April 25, 2021

A Love Story “Written” in the Stars

Amanda and Richard’s love story began with a letter. While Richard was in the army, his college friend Amanda began writing him letters to keep in touch. Their relationship blossomed over the years, and soon it was clear that their connection went far beyond friendship. By 2019, they were engaged — and earlier this April, these two tied the knot in our Plaza Toscana.

Their spring wedding was filled with lovely pink and ivory florals, which matched the rose and navy color scheme of the event. The bridal party also dressed according to the theme; the bridesmaids wore long dresses in dusty rose, and Richard and his groomsmen sported classy navy suits. Amanda, of course, wore a stunning white a-line gown, which featured a lace bodice, jewel neckline, and a full tulle skirt. As she came down the aisle, she looked absolutely beautiful — and both she and Richard had the brightest, biggest smiles!

The ceremony was a quick, traditional affair, officiated by the groom’s friend. The couple exchanged their vows and rings, sealed the union with a kiss, and headed off to the reception hall to celebrate! Guests were quick to follow them in and get the party started.

During the reception, guests enjoyed a dinner of caesar salad, twice-baked potatoes, pesto angel hair pasta, caprese chicken with balsamic glaze, and herb-crusted pork loin with champagne mustard and apricot glaze. The couple kicked off the party by sharing their first dance to Lanco’s “Greatest Love Story,” and then dancing with their parents; Amanda and her father danced to “My Little Girl” by Tim McGraw, and Richard and his mother danced to “The First Lady in My Life” by Paul Todd.

After the dinner was finished and the dancing began, it was hard to find a single person not out on the dance floor. This wedding was one filled with joy, love, and laughter, and we know that a night like that can only mean many years of happiness for our newlyweds.
