A Whimsical, Fairy-Tale Wedding for Alicia and Jonathan
Alicia and Jonathan’s April wedding was all about love, magic, and fairy tales — well, specifically, fairy and gnome tales. This charming couple opted for a whimsical wedding complete with fairy lights, greenery, and lots of candles.
On the big day, we decorated the Plaza Toscana with greenery and white and pink roses while the wedding party got dressed up for the occasion. The bridesmaids wore long dresses in a light salmon pink, while the groomsmen wore white dress shirts, black slacks, and forest green vests and ties. Jonathan stood out from his buddies in an all-black suit with a green vest, and Alicia wowed everyone with her sparkly A-line dress with an illusion neckline and lots of stunning lace details.
Jonathan’s father officiated the ceremony, which was a religious affair filled with reverence, love, and music. The couple took communion during the ceremony, exchanged rings, and vowed to love one another for the rest of their lives. Soon, Alicia and Jonathan were officially husband and wife (yay!) and it was time to start the celebration.
The reception hall looked like a magical forest, complete with fairy lights, green linens, and a moss-covered fairy garden at the newlyweds’ sweetheart table. Alicia and Jonathan started the reception by sharing their first dance to “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran, before Alicia and her father danced to “Butterfly Kisses” by Bob Carlisle.
Guests enjoyed a delicious meal of caesar salad, mixed green salad, creamy pesto pasta, mushroom and asparagus creamy pasta, chicken and sausage, and creamy herb chicken. For dessert, there was a delicious three-tier white cake covered with pink and white flowers. After dinner, guests danced the night away, mingled and laughed, and showed how much they care about the new bride and groom. It was a beautiful night, and we think it was the perfect way for Alicia and Jonathan to begin their “happily ever after.”
