Now Showing: Alena and Andrew’s Movie-Themed Wedding
Alena and Andrew are huge movie buffs, so when it was time to celebrate their marriage the theme was a no-brainer. The couple tied the knot in September, with a movie-themed wedding that was a bonafide hit!
The wedding had a moody, elegant color scheme of maroon, red, blush, and white. The wedding party wore maroon gowns and black suits with maroon vests and bowties. The dark shades were perfect for the early-Fall affair, and it helped Alena’s white mermaid-style gown stand out all the more. The bride was a vision in her wedding dress a v-neck, mermaid-style gown covered in lace and beading.
The couple had a sweet and traditional wedding ceremony, exchanging rings and vows to remain loyal and in love. At the end of the ceremony, the officiant introduced guests to the new husband and wife — and they walked up the red-carpet aisle like the stars they were!
Soon, guests moved inside for the reception, where they sat down at tables named for some of Alena and Andrew’s favorite movies. Guests enjoyed a dinner of mixed greens salad, potatoes au gratin, wild rice, and an entrée of chicken with prosciutto and provolone or flat iron steak with green chimichurri sauce. The couple shared a first dance to “Love Me Like You Do,” and later invited guests to join in with an anniversary dance.
The evening was filled with love and joy, with guests and the wedding party dancing and mingling all night. It was the perfect wedding for these sweet newlyweds — in fact, it was the kind of night you might see in a movie!
