Amy & Matt ~ November 10, 2017

Matt and Amy became man and wife on November 10, 2017.

Amy chose a sophisticated sleeveless A-line gown with a lace bodice with cutout back, and a jeweled belt detail. Her accessories included a waist-length veil, stud earrings, and jeweled Badgley Mischka heels. Her flowers were a mixed bouquet that blended roses, dahlias, chrysanthemums, and other flowers in various hues along with botanical accents. Her seven bridesmaids wore full-length dark blue dresses with varying necklines, and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet.

Matt looked handsome in a dark gray suit with a white shirt, pale pink tie, and mixed-bouquet boutonniere. His seven groomsmen wore gray suits with white shirts, blue ties, and rose boutonnieres.

In the ceremony, the officiant said that marriage is changing your “I” to “we,” and that your spouse acts as the sandpaper to your rough edges. The couple lit a unity candle to symbolize their two lives becoming one.

During the outdoor dinner, guests ate a salad of mixed greens with goat cheese, pomegranate seeds, and orange slices; chicken breast with silky mushroom marsala sauce; beef tenderloin with cognac cream sauce; butternut squash ravioli; and green beans.

In the speeches, the maid of honor talked about how Amy has always looked out for her, how she is beautiful inside and out, and how happy Matt makes her. The best man, the groom’s brother shared with the guests about the time Matt told him that Amy was the one. The bride’s brother said that it felt like Matt was his brother from the first time they met. The bride’s father talked about his daughter’s smile, and said that Matt is a great fit for their family.

Amy and Matt danced together for the first time as a married couple to “Make You Feel My Love.” Amy and her father danced to “(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time on You.” Matt and his mother danced to “My Wish.”

The wedding cake featured a bottom tier done in pink rosettes; a top and middle tier done in white on white decoration; and a custom cake topper with the couple’s last name.

Matt and Amy left their special day under the signature sparkler sendoff. We wish them a long and happy life together!
