Kim & Alvin ~ July 10, 2016

Kim and Alvin met because they both “work for the Lord,” and say they bring out the best in each other. They proved this when they were married on Sunday, July 10, 2016.

Kim donned an Essense of Australia, laced-textured bridal gown with off-shoulder sleeves and a trumpet skirt, complete with a bejeweled belt. A fingertip veil was pinned in her kept-down blonde hair. She carried a bouquet of soft pink roses, lilies, and green succulents. Kim’s bridesmaids modeled sleeveless, tea-length mint green gowns with V-necks and black sandals, and also held bouquets of roses, lilies, and succulents.

Alvin sported a three-piece black suit with a white dress shirt and pocket square, and gray necktie. His groomsmen matched his attire. Alvin’s lapel was pinned with a white lily, and the groomsmen lapels were adorned in succulents.

During their indoor ceremony, a live musicians performed songs from Christian music. The pastor said a prayer before the Father of the Bride gave Kim to Alvin. Kim and Alvin wrote and recited their own vows, which was followed by the pastor saying how rings are a symbol for eternity and are never ending.

Dinner started with appetizers and desserts at the first reception. Later, the main course consisted of a small house salad, rigatoni in creamy pesto, chicken marsala, Italian vegetables, and housemade bread. The three-tiered square wedding cake was coated in white fondant with black ribbon at the base of each tier. There were touches of mint on the top and bottom layer, and the whole thing came topped with a silver “K” for Kosar.

A toast from Alvin’s side of the family talked about their past and present. The Matron of Honor, who is Kim’s sister, wished the couple a happy life together. There were also cheers to the groom, and cheers to the bride.

Kim and Alvin’s First Dance was to “The Day Before You.” The new couple also left under a shower of red and white rose petals, and we wish them all the best.
