October 5, 2013 brought Marivel and Jesse to Villa Siena for their wedding ceremony and reception. The couple filled the day with personal touches including leaving a love note in a wine box during the ceremony to a lasso ceremony to mariachis playing during the recessional and throughout the cocktail hour.
For her wedding Marivel chose a lacy ruffled gown with a wreath of flowers and veil in her hair. For the ceremony she wore lace gloves that finished at the wrist. The bride’s bouquet was adorned with pink, red and purple roses and other flowers with fresh grasses. The groom wore a black tux with white bowtie, white shirt and vest. Jesse added fuchsia and black argyle socks to his ensemble, while the bride finished her look with strappy sand colored shoes.
Before the ceremony began, candles were lit in gold candlesticks. Books and framed pictures were arranged around stands of fresh flowers on the altar.
The couple had a large wedding party of 9 bridesmaids and 9 groomsmen. Three flower girls wore wreaths of flowers and grasses in their hair and did a wonderful job of sprinkling fresh petals along the runner for Marivel’s big entrance. The bridesmaids marked the beginning of the ceremony, making their way down the aisle in floor length fuchsia gowns with varied necklines.
During the reception guests were invited to write words of advice on paper airplanes to be flown at the bride and groom’s send-off.
For the first dance, the couple chose This Will Be Our Year, followed by What a Wonderful World for the father/daughter dance.
The cake boasted four tiers with white flowers flowing down the cake and a piano sitting on top.
Congratulations Marivel and Jesse. May your bond that was made official on this day only strengthen throughout the years ahead. We wish you the best.
