Emily & Tim ~ September 9, 2012

September 9, 2012 was filled with smiles and kisses as Emily and Tim wed. The villa was decorated in vibrant purple and brassy gold, the same reddish color as the bride’s hair. The ceremony took place outdoors; an intimate gathering of family and friends. As guests were seated, they each received a fan with the bride and groom’s names on it and the date, tied with a purple ribbon. Tim looked fabulous in a black tuxedo with white vest, white shirt and white tie. The groomsmen also wore black tuxedos but wore royal purple ties to match the bridesmaid’s dresses. While the bridesmaids wore identical purple knee-length dresses, they each chose a different hairstyle that reflected their individual personalities. Emily looked stunning with her hair pulled back into a bun and a blusher veil covering her face for the walk down the aisle. Her strapless gown had a sweetheart neckline and structured bodice that cinched at the waist with a bow. The skirt had a beautiful a-line flow and was Audrey Hepburnesque. Jewelry accents were pearl drop earrings and a pearl bracelet. The bouquets were a mix of purple, soft gold and white assortment of flowers. Similar floral arrangements graced the tables at the reception as well as a bonsai tree with crystals hanging from it.

The couple’s love shone through with kisses throughout the day, including the first dance and a great kiss where the groom swept the bride off her feet outdoors. The father/daughter dance was sweet and emotional with the Emily and her father sharing a special moment. For the reception, the bride changed out her veil for a sequined headband that gave her a little more freedom of movement on the dance floor. Everyone was having a blast. Emily and Tim hand-fed each other pieces of their three-tiered wedding cake. Each layer had a different design from polk-a-dots to harlequin pattern to curlicues, wrapped with a purple ribbon and surrounded by purple votives. A signature Villa Siena sparkler farewell lit up the night. Congratulations Emily and Tim. We wish you the best.
